ISSCOM 30 October 2002 (031) SoyuzTMA-1: Without problems launched from Baykonur on 30.10.02 at 0311UTC. Communications: In spite of the low elevation for the Netherlands the S-TMA-1 could be monitored well on all frequencies. Orbit 2: 061302UTC Telemetry on 166.132.2 mc. 061416 TCA (beacon on 922.755) 061500 Voice via 121.750 mc. Zalyotin reports some technical data and the opening of valves. At about 0616UTC LOS Orbit 3: 074415UTC Telemetry on 166 mc. 074538 Voice via 121.750 mc Zalyotin (Yenisey-1) about the first impulse for orbit correction. The process was performed well. About the impulse for the orbit correction Z. reports the following values: 1744 and 2044. The LED for the IKV (Infrared Vertical) did not function. Selected format was 3. For the orientation solar orientation will be used. Large fuel resources left. Orders were given for test of the Television. Orbit 4: 091440 UTC Telemetry on 166.137.8 mc. 091700 Voiceone 121.750 mc 092325 LOS The transmissions start with an internal order of Zalyotin to Lonchakov. 'Yuriy, it is time for communications now. Don't talk nonsense'. Z. to TsUP-M: We executed the solar orientation as agreed. The current is now 28 Ampères. We are very busy handling the cargo. I am in the BO (Life compartment). Yuriy and Frank are in the SA (descent apparatus). We have to sort out a lot and have to change our change our dress, all is still rather problematic. Not everything is in the right spot. Z. asks Frank to take the microphone. Now and then prompted by Zalyotin Frank reports that they would do the Television later. The did not yet finish the work on the cargo and they also have to change. (Frank's Russian is good) Z: Understood, at 2224 (possibly 1924UTC) via the KRL (Command Radio channel -possibly the system Regul). Frank reads out the times of the impulse: 1220 (0920UTC) 28 29 30 31 32 and 33. Z reports that something (not clear) has been adjusted to the maximum. Z. orders Lonchakov to write down the instructions. L. writes down: 1054 page 10-8 of the Board Instruction, etc. We will check that. (Traffic at TsUP-M handled by Andrey) Communications 30.10.2002 from the ISS. Orbit: 22512, 0946-0957UTC: The crew slept out, slept well and is feeling oke. About presents: did not arrive for the room was needed for equipment for experiments to be executed by the S-TMA-1 crew. With Rita about problems with the greenhouse.
