MAK-2 launched from MIR:

MAK-2 was a Miniature Autonomous Container still on board MIR.
In fact it was a back up for MAK-1, launched on 17.06.92 at 0248UTC,
decayed on 18.10.92. MAK-1 did not what it was supposed to do for its
antennae did not deploy themselves.
The present crew had more luck with MAK-2. On 20.11.92 at 1034UTC the crew
reported that they observed MAK-2 and that they saw how the small antennae
deployed. Like his unfortunate predecessor MAK-2 contains equipment for
studies on the physical processes in the Ionosphere of the Earth.
